Web Based Email Accounts:
Church Webs provides a web based interface so that you can check your email from any web browser, anywhere, anytime!

File Manager:
The File Manager is one of the many features in your control panel. It allows you to create, delete, and move your files via your web browser. You can also upload files from your local PC to the server in File Manager. Plus, you can edit the HTML in any of your files from this option.

Phone/Email Support:
Our support staff is available to help answer your questions via email 24/7 ( support@church-webs.com ). We also provide telephone support every weekday from 7 am to 7 pm EST. The best way to contact our support staff is by using our Web Support Center.  We check the Web Support center first and most frequently. If you send an email, it may take up to 24 hours for a response. If you need to speak to a live person, please call (423) 753-7569 and ask for David.

24/7 FTP Access:
If you are an experienced webmaster, you will benefit from the freedom to update your site 24/7 via any FTP program such as the popular CuteFTP and WS_FTP. If you are transferring a site from another host, you can easily transfer your files to your new account with us via FTP. In addition, FTP is one of the easiest things to learn... so, if you are just starting out... you should be able to learn it fairly fast. Furthermore, our Online Manual has detailed instructions on how to use FTP to transfer your files. FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol, and is the preferred method of webmasters around the world to upload and download files from local computers to our web servers.

Web Site Statistics:
The Site Statistics feature gives you access to your site's web statistics, such as hits, transfers, etc.
The Site Statistics feature will contain all of the statistics for your domain for the previous week.

MySQL:
MySQL is our GNU database of choice. We develop all of our own products with MySQL or Oracle. We encourage all mSQL and postgresQL users to migrate to MySQL. You get local access for your MySQL database. We have a graphical format for you to create and add tables, etc. MySQL is an advanced database feature.

Anon FTP:
Anonymous FTP allows visitors to your site to download files via ftp without a password. It is disabled by default. To enable it, you simply login to your online control panel and enable it by pressing a button.

Unix Based:
Our Server Operating Systems are powered by a customized Red Hat Linux (UNIX). This is a widely used operating system. Unix provides the most versatility of all the operating systems.

5 Gigs (5000MB) Data Transfer & Hits: (Depends on the Plan you purchase.)
Traffic Guidelines
Due to the unique resource characteristics and traffic patterns associated with certain types of sites, the following are limited to 5 gigs (on average, close to a 100,000 hits per month) of free traffic/bandwidth per month:

  • Sub hosting - any domain housing additional users
  • Shareware, sound, video, image and multimedia archives
  • Mirror sites
  • Distribution points
  • Any site whose primary purpose is file distribution
  • All sites with files other than plain text webpages

Sites that go over the allowed free traffic will be charged $10 per gig. Site is subject to suspension if bandwidth is unpaid for.

Real Audio/Video:
Post real audio/video files to be downloaded and listened to by your sites visitors.

Java, PERL and Python, PHP4:
We have enjoyed being the clear choice for computer programmers building web sites. For this reason, we always give programmers the most recent versions of the hottest programs needed to build their web applications. Not only do we provide you with PHP support, but the majority of our system tools and design projects are done by our staff in PHP. PHP is compiled as a module with MySQL, gdbm, and gd support.
